Chp 17: Rival Roomate.
"Where is Zillion's Café?" asked Rock, "I've been looking for it all day." "This way." said Conroy. Conroy lead Rock down a side street where he could hear music blaring out from a block away. "Who's blasting out music like that?" asked Rock. "That would be Zillion's." replied Conroy, "The place is known for music at all times of day." "Really?" said Rock as the music got louder, "But so loud?" Rock and Conroy turned he corner and right before them was a Café with a White Knight on the overhanging sign. "Welcome to Zillion's, Mr. Rock." said Conroy, "They have rooms to rent as well." "How can anyone sleep with that racket?" called Rock as the music was starting to be deffening. "Don't know!" shouted Conroy. Rock followed Conroy into the café and towards the back. There was a room to sleep and, dispite the volume that it was outside, it was very quiet here. "Must be a heck of a lot of sound proffing in here." said Conroy as he was headed back outside, "Well, have a good fight tomorrow. The stipulation is you can't throw your opponent." Just as he opened the door, a Red Porcupine walked in. "May I ask who are you two?" he snorted. Rock looked at the porcupine with confusion for a moment and said "You are a porcupine, right?" "Yeah!" snorted the porcupine. Then with a grin added "You are the first one not to mistake me for a hedgecat. What's your name." Conroy quickly slipped out and Zappy flew in as Rock replied "I'm Rock. This is my little buddy Zappy." "The name's Lance." said the porcupine, "I'm guessing that you're my opponent for tomorrow." Rock didn't like where this was going. "Now where did that Gator guy go?" said Lance looking around. "You mean Conroy." said Rock, "He was just leaving. He's one of Mr. Saulnier's guys." "Ah." said Lance, "What Stipulation did you get stuck with?" "Can't throw you." snorted Rock, "You?" "Can't burn the place down." laughed Lance. "Huh?" jumped Rock, "What do you mean?" "I.."started Lance, "I can use fire based attacks." Rock stayed quite for a moment before Lance continued. "But why would I do that." he said, "This place plays great music. But anyways, How many people did you fight so far?" "Not counting the Tester," said Rock, "One. You?" "Same here." replied Lance as he stretched, "But let's get some rest and put on a good show for tomorrow." "Right..." smerked Rock. The two rivals turned in for the night.
