Chp 35: Almost Skewered.
Rock jumped to the side as the sword carve into the ground. As he looked back, Rock could see a fox with seven tails lifting the blade and turning towards him. "I would run if I was you!" snarled the fox. Rock rolled away from another attack and tried to fight back. The fox seem to move with unnatural speed and hit Rock from behind. As the fox raised his sword once more, Max dashed between him and Rock. "Stop Father!" he called. "Huh?" muttered Rock. "Stand aside, Max!" cursed the other Fox, "He will pay for.." "I Said STOP!" snapped Max, "He is my friend!" The fox looked at Max with some confusion as Rock slowly got up. "He's been helping me train!" said Max crossly. The other fox lowered his sword as Max turned to Rock and said "Rock. This is my father, Azrael Zexal Shadowsong. Father, This is my friend Rock and his flicky friend Zappy." "My appologise." said Azrael, "My son has been sneaking off for the past little while and I was curious at what he was doing. When I saw you injure him.." "I understand." said Rock with a nervous tone, "I'm just glade I didn't get skewered." Zappy chirpped at Rock and Azrael raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?" said Azrael. "Um..You speak flicky?" asked Rock. "I understand enough of it." said Azrael crossly. Then turning to Max, shouted "Max! I Told You That I Would Not Permite You Into A Fighting Tournament!" "But..." started Max. "I will speak to the organiser and have you removed from this tournament!" snarled Azrael. "Hold up!" shouted Rock at Azrael, "What's the big deal?!" "I had forbid Max to enter this tournament!" snarled Azrael, "How he entered it, or even why he did is pure disobedience!" "But father!" snarled Max. "Enough!" shouted Azrael, "Go Home Now! Your mother and I will deal with you later!" "Don't you think you're going too hard on him?" said Rock folding his arms. "What?!" snarled Azrael. "You are a demon hunter right?", explained Rock, "What if your son believes that he is unable to face a demon in a fight?" "That is why I train him!" shouted Azrael. "Yes but, if he can only fight you, he would never know how to deal with others. I may be an avrage person, but if I can beat him, then how would another demon fare against him? He needs to understand how many different ways of fighting there can be. A tournament like this one way of seeing them first hand and learning how to cope against each one."
