Von Karas's first robot design, Räuber was going to be nothing then an extra set of hands. After Dr. Wily had stolen the plans for Jeweler Man, Von Karas sent him and Shogun Man to track down the plans. When Von Karas later joined Dr. Wily, Räuber was upgraded by Dr. Wily to wield and axe and shield. Shortly after Von Karas took over Dr. Wily's army, Räuber was sent to find and eliminate doth Dr. Wily and Mega Man. Though he did managed to defeat Mega Man, Räuber was unable to finish him or Dr. Wily off. Instead, he took Roll captive and brought her to Von Karas. He serves no one other then Von Karas and would gives his robotic life for him.
